Regional CRO Impact
(Brightcove, 2007-2014)
As Regional Sales Director for Southern Europe & Latin America, acting as Regional CRO, I built and owned the entire revenue function for the region, from market entry to team to partnerships, through Brightcove's journey from startup to NASDAQ IPO.
→ Owned the full regional revenue path: business development, sales, brand, partnerships, and customer relationships, the 360° revenue role before "GTM engineering" or AI existed. I did manually, under quota, what I now systematize.
→ Built the Southern Europe & LATAM business from zero: positioned Spain as the #2 EMEA revenue region (after the UK) for 3 consecutive years, with 29x revenue growth from Year 1.
→ Generated €6.7M in direct new business and €10.2M TCV, exceeding quota 177% for five consecutive fiscal years.
→ Recruited and mentored the regional team and built strategic partnerships with global system integrators, technology partners, and channel resellers, the same team-building and cross-functional leadership a modern CRO owns.
→ Served as the market-facing leader and brand ambassador for the region, delivering keynotes, 100+ webinars, press conferences, and 6 original educational programs to build market awareness from scratch.
